Solid fermentation using microorganisms is generally used and well-accepte d process for food and for herbal medicine in Korea since the ferment exhibits better bioavailability. The properties and the compon ents of raw materials are changed during the fermentation process. Natural HG(CH), a transparent, viscous liquid type ingredient developed for cosmetics, exhibits skin soothing and moisturizing effects. On Day 9, erythema was re-induced by applying 3% SLS solution. A cream containing 4% Natural HG(CH) was a pplied to the irritated skin twice a day for 10 days. Skin Soothing Effect – in vivo Evaluation A cream containing 4% Natural HG(CH) was applied to the forearms of 10 female volunteers aged between 1 8 and 65.
