ABSTRACT AnIntegratedExperientialActivityProgramBased onTraditionalPlayforImprovingYoungChildren's BasicAthleticAbility SukJaLee() YeonJooOh(Prof.) Youngchildrenhavelearnedbasicbodycontrolabilityaccordingtoa growthanddevelopmentofbodyandownwillthroughphysicalactivities. Themovementabilityfacilitatesanestablishmentofsuccessfulrelationwith surroundingenvironments,andplayanimportantroleinself-realization, mentaldevelopment,andemotionaldevelopment.Ontheotherhand,ifthe basicmotorskillisnotproperlydevelopedinchildhood,childrencannotfeel enjoymentandsatisfactionthroughphysicalactivities.Alsotheycanhave thelowdesireformovementsandsotheyarerestrictedingivingthe physicalfunctionsintheplayorgroupactivities.Aproficiencyofbasic movementfunctionlearnedinearlychildhoodishelpfultothecomplicated movementskilllearninginlaterchildhood. Sinceparentsandteachersofchildrenarefamiliarwithtraditionalplays, knowwellhowtoplaythem,andusuallygivemanychancestochildrento palywith,childrenarefamiliarwithandinterestedinthetraditionalplays. Keepinginterestingisamajorfactorofchildren'sactivities. Inthisstudy,weproposedanintegratedexperientialactivityprogram basedontraditionalplayforimprovingyoungchildren'sbasicathleticability.
